Press Release: 2007 Rite to Smile Foundation Gala and Golf Classic a Success

2007 will be remembered as a great year for the North Texas Dental Society’s Rite to Smile Foundation.  This year’s Gala and Golf Classic succeeded in raising critical funds for the support of Texas children and adults alike who need dental treatment but cannot afford it.  The Rite to Smile Foundation is committed to improving community access to dental care for the less fortunate among us.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of our sponsors, volunteers, and participants who made this year’s fundraiser a success.  We want to give special acknowledgement to our title sponsors, Med Tech Construction and the PGA Superstore.  Both of these organizations stepped up and provided much needed contributions for our events.  Other major sponsors include United American Insurance Company; Patterson Dental Supply; Fred R. Sutton Real Estate Services; Comerica Bank; Countrywide Mortgage Company; the Ameriprise Financial office of Middlebrook, Dryden, and Carter; Dr. John Wise; and, Dr.’s Robert Neal and David Roberts.

Funds raised by The Rite to Smile Foundation are dedicated to the financial support of our two major recipients, the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children Dental Clinic in Dallas, Texas; and, the Texas Dental Association Smiles Foundation, which oversees the administration of pro bono dental services throughout Texas.  Both of these organizations have outstanding track records of commitment to hands-on dental care for the underprivileged. 

As the Rite to Smile Foundation looks to the future, we hope one day to support additional outlets for dental care, including at least one nonprofit dental clinic within the boundaries of the nine county North Texas Dental Society.  To do so, we are dependent on the generous support of our member doctors, and the many organizations and volunteers who have a heart for others and demonstrate it through the donation of their services, time, and money.
